Black Sedan Band was formed in 2008 when well known brothers Philip & Paul Bryan Stuckey joined forces with experienced musicians Stevie Morrison and Gary ‘Gazza’ Scott, and later by young drumming sensation Nicky ‘stormy’ Waters.
Paul Bryan Stuckey, after the success of his instrumental album Vibe, was looking for a fresh outlet for his prodigious talent that encompassed enough capability to showcase his difficult and technical guitar tunes.
Philip was keen to develop his writing style with like minded creative musicians. Following the success of the album 9 Lives where the songs were of a more gentle expression of life, Philip sought to develop a lyrical and thoughtful approach to the rock genre.
Stevie and Gazza wanted little more than to form a quality rock outfit that progressed beyond the norm, pushing the boundaries of what can be performed live to a consistently high standard. Having ‘been there and done that’ on the music scene for many years, tasteful but powerful progress was the name of the new game.
Nicky on the other hand was looking to improve still further by stretching himself as a player in a highly technical arena, taking a considered and tasteful approach to rock. Having already tasted success with The Tuckers, a former winner of C4 Popworld, Nicky was looking to progress his undeniable talent in new ways.
Black Sedan Band are currently working on new songs for the first Black Sedan Band album due for late 2009 and exciting versions of classic and lesser known rock tunes from the past 4 decades.
