Ryan Adams, Wilco, the soundtrack to The Last Kiss, Damien Rice, Bel Biv Devoe (no kidding), I don;t know anything about Jazz, but I like Dave Brubeck and John Coltrane playing in the morning. Carla Bruni.
Movies
Ok, it's true, I tend to Netflix films about quadriplegic French people in WWII. But that's only because I've seen everything. Bull Durham is my favorite movie - still - after all these years... Peter and I both cried when we saw Venus with Peter O'Toole. I revisited Purple Rain again after a much too long absense and it's BRILLIANT.
Television
I speak only for myself - Sex and the City (though Peter has yet to stay awake through an entire episode). And VH1 Celebreality??? I love it! I am watching Rock of Love only because Flava Flav is gone. I do love myself some Oprah and who doesn't love the Food Network? The Office is #1.
Books
Understanding Wine Technology, David Byrd. The Oxford Compnaion to Wine, Jancis Robinson. Viticulture and Enology - any book on either subject. Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone, Deborah Madison, changed my life. The Year of Magical Thinking, by Joan Didion. The Corrections. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Tristram Shandy (I had to throw that one in there just so I sound smart).
Heroes
I really like people who accomplish things. Anyone who sets out to achieve a goal and actually gets there is my hero.
About me: Peter makes wine in Santa Barbara County for Stolpman, Piedrasassi and Holus Bolus. I am starting my second year of study in the Master of Wine Program and in order to support how expensive that is - I sell wine for a Bordeaux and Burgundy Importer and work as a sommelier in Los Angeles. We commute a lot. In an attempt to spend more time together in the same location, we released our own wine mid-October 2006 - a Santa Barbara County Syrah called Hocus Pocus. Of course, now we have to sell it, which means we still don't have enough time together.... Maybe one day we'll live in the same city, wake up together every morning and even have babies - or at least dogs - or maybe just a turtle.
Oh, and, if you're into Brettanomyces, SO2 and related subjects check this out:

Who I'd like to meet: Vegetarians. Just kidding. Though I do tend to like them better. Kidding... not really.
