About Blacksmithz (CD Release at Vinyl Aug. 8th)

Blacksmithz is an original three-piece band based out of Metro Atlanta with a style that is edgy and melodic. The band formed at the end of 2006 in Atlanta by founding member Steve Money on guitar/vocals. Money, originally from Beauregard, Alabama was primarily a solo artist prior to Blacksmithz and has been a member of the Grammy Association since 1999. John "Worm" McCann a bassist originally from Steelville, Pennsylvania joined the band and adds high energy and a driving bottom end that is finished off by the brute force and speed of Jessee Davis on drums, from Southside ATL.

This power trio blends hard rock, funk, & metal with alternative progressive melodies that draw you in and make you groove but still want to punch something. Blood Root Mother	Jul 15 2009 12:38 AM Hello! I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time a few days ago. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral. There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you.
