BlackSnake came to life in Przemysl, Poland in 2005. The founders of the group were Kornel Sienkiewicz (rhythm guitar) and Wojtek “Skiba” Ochocki (bass). After some time the band was completed by Piotr Balajan (vocals), Maciej Wieckowski (lead guitar) and Dariusz Pichura (drums). BlackSnake started to make their own music.
After one year the group played 2 concerts in their home town, along with Underdark and Monstrum (31.03.2006), with Neolith (28.10.2006); and in Sanok along with Necropsy and Pandemonium (01.12.2006). Year 2006 brought a new bass guitar player to the band, namely Mateusz Dacko; a talented musician known for playing in Metalmorphosis band who took over after Wojtek had left the country. In this new set the group recorded their debut mini LP “The First Bite” consisting of six tracks having in common something from stoner, thrash, blues, punk, heavy, rock and roll... After another live performance in Przemysl, along with Uderdark and Rotengeist (30.11.2007) Mateusz, who didn’t like the way BlackSnake was developing, left the group . Dyvan Terror (from death metal band Underdark) took his place in March 2008. A few days later Kornel Sienkiewicz, founder of the group, left the band. Now BlackSnake is a quintet. New member of the band is Piotr Szczepanik (guitar).
There once was a time in the land where the sun was worshiped as god and its embrace with the moon made the earth hold its breath as time stood still in silence, and at that hour the smothered sun shall cloak the whole world in the dead blackness of midnight giving birth to the Element Of Eclipse.
