A l’aube de ce nouveau siècle Blackstone apparaît dans le monde du rock. Cette mystérieuse météorite dévoile sa magie en 2000 sur un premier album éponyme, puis s’impose avec son deuxième opus « The High Country ».
Le public découvre alors un savant mélange de rock 70’s, entre Led Zeppelin et Black Sabbath, de folk, de country et de mélodies orientales. Le chanteur américain Ian Kent fait gronder sa voix éraillée, pince sa mandoline et glisse la guitare slide sur des compositions menées par une section rythmique solide forgée par Marc Varez à la batterie et par Sami Abes à la basse, sur lesquelles la virtuosité du guitariste Olivier Jargeais offre des ambiances envoûtantes.
Loin des modes et de tout formatage, Blackstone dévoile aujourd’hui son troisième album « Colors of the Stone », une nouvelle fois produit par Marc Varez dans son studio La Grange 69, où le rock sombre et minéral des débuts se teinte de multiples couleurs musicales, donnant au groupe sa vraie personnalité.
Colors of the Stone sonne déjà comme l’album incontournable de Blackstone.

Blackstone was born with the new millenium and hit the rock scene like an asteroid with their first album,Blackstone, followed shortly by The High Country.
Listeners discovered a heady mixture of 70s rock, somewhere between Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, with touches of folk and country and a mideastern feel. Ian Kent, who hails from the USA backs his raspy voice with mandolin and slide guitar. The solid rock rhythm section boasts Marc Varez on drums and Sami Abes on bass, while Olivier jargeais’ lead guitar weaves and tears through the songs.
The music has gone through twists and turns and Blackstone is happy to announce the release of Colors Of The Stone. Recorded and produced by Marc Varez at La Grange 69, the new album literally adds color to the dark sounds of the earlier works. More revealing of the band’s personality, Colors Of The Stone shows a band at the top of its creative form.

Le groupe cherche donc dès maintenant son nouveau chanteur .
