In a state full of talented artist that lack the propper exposure, Brandon Wiggins a.k.a. Black TM has proven to be one of the standout artist that will put Jersey on the map with the other heavy hitting areas such as New York, Atlantic, The Bay, and Chicago. With his vast and diverse producing style along side his ability to create catchy hooks and witty lyrics, it's no wonder why he's often sought after by other rappers, singers, and producers alike for collaborations for their projects.
Black TM got his start at the young age of 14 years of age, participating in a rap group with classmates in one of his junior high classes. At the time, the group would use rap as a way to kill time during class, but this is when Black TM realized he had talent as a rapper.
Soon after he teamed up with fellow artist J.O.S.H. (at the time lil cuzz) and they formed the group "The Klik". They were quite the duo for years until creative differences set them both on seperated paths, temporarily though, because at the age of 16, Black TM teamed back up with J.O.S.H along with rappers J Nasty, and Flawless (from S.B.N.G) to for the rap group "Team Get Eem" under indie label "Royalty".
Together, the group dropped an album which got high local acclaim and really put the artist on top of the map in their area. Over a course of two years, the group went through lineup changes with the leaving of J.O.S.H. and Flawless, with the addition of rappers Littlesmalls and Killa-S, until 2006, when the group T.G.E. finally fully dismantled.
The next year would be a very productive year from Black TM, hooking up with his rival/friend Christian Crosby, Black TM started producing his own music along with hitting the show circuit. Though the two were not a group, they often used eachother as inspiration to acheive greater things, something Black has never had during his years being in a group. For a year as a full solo artist, Black produced and recorded over 20 solo songs and performed in various places such as his home state of New Jersey, New York City, and Philly. He also did artist development and production for the indie label, "Alamo Records," for one of their former R&B acts.
In 2007, Black TM started his own indie label, "I.T.B. entertainment," in which he signed former group members from TGE, Littlesmalls, J Nasty, and Killa-S, alongside newcomer N.O.B. From 2007 to 2008, I.T.B. behind the production, promoting, song concepts, and just all out effort from Black TM, released 3 mixtapes, a numerous amounts of singles, performed all over the Pensylvania area. Even though they were seemingly on the ride road to success, close associates saw that Black TM was not receiving the same effort from his artist that he was giving forth. He negated allegations until in november of 2008, he was incarcerated when labelmate Littlesmalls, set him up to take the fall for his weapons.
During his time in jail, Black TM fully evaluated his current situation, past, and future and realized that it would be best for him to leave the group, so when released in December after most of the charges against him were dropped, he announced that he was leaving the label I.T.B. to the other members and fully started fresh.
Since then, Black TM has hooked up with such artist as Lord Kay, from iGrind Harder music group and Skyler Evans, along with keeping his ties with other artist all over the New Jersey and New York area, to take his career to new heights. Now without the restrictions of having to worry about if other artist are doing what they need to do for tracks or performances, sky is the limit for this young artist. With his talent, drive, diversity, and sheer will to accomplish his goal of being a music force to be messed with, it is only a matter of time befor we see this young man all over the billboard charts with number one hits. Though his story has been a long and hard one, it has only begun and the best is soon to come.
