Blacktop Moon is Theresa Stoops on guitar and vocals, a long-time resident of Sonoma County who has fronted the popular band "Easy Street" for over ten years, Keith Ledbetter, bassist extrordinaire who has been a part of several bands over the years, including "Easy Street" and "Daddy Please," and Jim Brumm, guitar and vocals who has been writing and playing music for over 35 years.
BLACKTOP MOON, Sonoma County’s Premier Acoustic Trio, brings an eclectic (we love that word) blend of styles, from folk-rock, to jazz, standards, fingerpicking and acoustic rock, laced with flute, light purcussion, harmonies, and more.
With a large local following, Blacktop Moon is sometimes upbeat, sometimes soft and often funny.
BLACKTOP MOON IS:
THERESA STOOPS: Professional vocalist and songwriter who has been performing throughout Sonoma County for over thirty years in such bands as “Ocean Breeze” and “Easy Street.” Theresa’s stage presence and clear, powerful, stunning voice are crowd pleasers no matter what style of music she is singing.
JIM BRUMM: Singer/songwriter whose compositions cover a wide range of styles, from intricate fingerpicking to jazzy and upbeat to folk-rock. Having penned many of Blacktop Moon’s songs, Jim brings a fresh perspective to the acoustic scene.
KEITH LEDBETTER: Longtime songwriter and musician who has performed in several bands over the years, including “Daddy Please,” and “Easy Street.” Keith’s versatility as a musician shines with his mastery of the bass guitar and skill on the flute.
