FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q. Do you review demos/singles/etc?
A. Best way to find out is by buying a copy of the zine and seeing for yourself, you meanie!
Please note though: We do not review mp3s, we do not review vinyl and we do not review CDRs with no cover/sleeve.
Q. What is the address to mail CDs and other review items to?
A. The address is in the zine. You can order the zine from any of the online stores linked on this page, plus a variety of other shops that are listed at . If you have paypal you can even order from Black Velvet directly.
Q. You reviewed our CD/featured us. What now?
A. Good question! If you liked what we wrote about us, why not promote Black Velvet? Tell everyone your review was in issue x, tell friends to check out blackvelvetmagazine.com, put us in your top 8, put our banner on your page - and basically do something in return to promote us - since we promoted YOU. Remember, printing costs money, Black Velvet is a non-profit-making zine. If you can give us a mention once you've got a mention in the zine, that would be nice.
Q. Can I write for you?
A. If you're interested in contributing to Black Velvet, check out www.blackvelvetmagazine.com/info.htm. We do from time to time require new writers, however we are looking for reviewers that can get their reviews to us in a decent time frame, and that really believe in Black Velvet, like we do. Please don't ask to contribute to Black Velvet if you haven't checked out the printed magazine. If you love it, love writing about the sort of rock music that we feature, and think you can be an asset to Black Velvet THEN get in touch. At the current time we are only interested in UK contributors.
Please note: We cannot accept work experience placements.
Also, check out Black Velvet's new sister site, www.SaveAScream.com
If you missed the last issue, this is what it looked like... (You can buy it from the online stores or BlackVelvetMagazine.Com's back issues page).
