Bio:

Black Widow Records was born in 1990 as a rarities shop focused at first on collection vinyls and reissues of several genres ( progressive rock, psychedelic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, dark, punk rock, new wave, gothic rock, folk, space rock, kraut rock, doom...) always tending towards quality rock music and absolutely unconcerned about any commercial trend. A couple of years later the brand extended its activities to discographic productions with the reissue of an obscure italian folk dark heavy masterpiece of the 80..s , the first album of Crystal Phoenix from Domodossola. Nowadays BWR can boast a catalogue of over 100 titles both Italians and foreigners ; we take care very fondly of vinyl productions both for high quality graphics and pressing, above all for some peculiar projects such as horror and sci-fi films tributes which are offered in luxury box-sets including books. BWR catalogue includes groups such as Malombra from Genova, Il Segno del Comando, Zess, Abysmal Grief, the great Delirium now reunited after an enthusiastic push from BWR, and L..Impero delle Ombre, Areknames, Wicked Minds, The Black, Presence, Goad, UTO, all groups which are modern expressions of Italian rock and several groups hailing from other countries such as Texan space rockers ST 37, gothic rockers Morticia from Minneapolis, the english minstrel Paul Roland, the horror- heavy metal outfit Ripper from USA, the amazing Northwinds from Paris and the new finnish sensation Orne...and then groups which made history of rock such as Hawkwind, the masters of space rock, the mythical Black Widow whose name inspired the shop..s one, High Tide from England, the extraordinary Pentagram from Virginia, simply the greatest heavy-doom band in the world after Ozzy..s Sabbath, as well as various obscure bands of the 70..s reissued some years ago such as Monument, Bram Stoker, Morgan, Cirkus and the incredible Necromandus produced by Tony Iommi. BWR also released the vinyl editions of the best records of Death SS, the most important italian heavy band ever and the dark works of Jacula and Antonius Rex, the two outfits of alchemist Antonio Bartoccetti and her partner Doris Norton, highly regarded and very much sought after by collectors all over the world. Our productions are marketed and distributed all over the world through a worldwide net.
