Blurbs

About me:

The Blah! Party simply demands accountability and honesty for the actions and decisions that are taken by individuals and politicians. We will fight for simple answers to straightforward questions.

"We believe in the right to opinion, the right to question, the right to disapprove and the right to change things for the better – we want to see the current leading parties pull their socks up, stop spouting hot air, and actually deliver on their promises."

Blah! Party leader, Captain Sensible

The party has been created to offer a real alternative for no-nonsense people who are fed up with the irrational and senseless aspects of everyday life and of modern-day politics.

Voting figures have seen a sharp decline over the past thirteen years with turnout at the last election the third lowest since the turn of the twentieth century. Turnout at the 2005 election was only 61.4% with just over 17 million of those registered to vote choosing not to.

In contrast, increasing numbers of people are voting for reality television shows with 10.8 million votes cast for the last X-Factor and 22.5 million votes for Big Brother 2005.

Led by Captain Sensible, the Blah! Party is set to become the biggest political party in the UK, with a membership target of over 300,000, to force the politicians to listen to the people that they represent.

Who I'd like to meet:

300,000 Blah! Party members!!

THE RETURN OF THE BAT Specimen will bring their special brand of glam mayhem, The Batcave to London again. After last year’s wildly-successful 25th anniversary Batcave event, The Batcave returns to its original spawning ground of London’s West End on Sunday July 19 for another night of blasphemy, lechery and blood. Specimen (Fresh from a fantastic show at Leipzig’s Waves Gotik festival), the original Batcave instigators will headline the lurid frolics at the Embassy Club, (29 Old Burlington St, London W1S3AP) Also on the bill are original Batcavers Sexbeat, with DJs Hamish and Cavey Nick, cavorting from decks to decadence with the usual brutal, trouser-dropping surprises & suitably confronting & barbaric entertainment. The 2009 Batcave will feature installations from exciting new artists of the ‘Dark London Underground’ and visuals from the upcoming ‘Welco

YES! I do too, but I can't breathe, I can't sleep and my head is throbbing....I went to the Pharmacy last night and she hooked me up, so I hope with these meds I can get to feeling better. I am not coming in this afternoon to work. We might actually do that. Send a text my way and remind me, if you don't mind. I'd love to do that! We are SOOO loving our vacation time and love being around people too. the extra money we made from taking those paid surveys online helped out so much!! you should really do them too; i mean, hey, the extra money comes in handy, right? i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

anyways, so, I will see you next Tuesday. Have a great day!

I am compiling a book of art for Warchild.org.

War Child works with children affected by war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. We work with children who have been hit hardest by the joint forces of poverty, conflict and social exclusion. Our groundbreaking work with former child soldiers, street children and children in prison has supported and helped thousands who would otherwise not have been able to reintegrate with their community, gain access to education or enjoy sustainable livelihood support.
War Child is a charity that works with children living in war zones.

The children we work with participate directly in our decision making and project design. In this way our projects reflect their needs not ours.

War Child works closely with other aid organisations and local and national government to ensure the knowledge and skills gained through our work are shared with as many people as possible. In this way we are able to help many more children than we can hope to reach directly.

I am looking for inspiring images to be made into a coffee table book to be sold worldwide/

Visual Artists must supply an image of a tasteful nature as it is a childrens charity. All the proceeds will go to WARCHILD.

The deadline for submissions is June 25th.

Please send a high res j.peg of the image you wish to submit along with your contact details and words describing the image.

    PLEASE SEND WORK TO:

    KARENANNBURT@AOL.COM

    label it 'warchild project'

    thankyou!
