A remarkable young songwriter, Blair Bodine brings a compelling mix of lyrical mastery and soul-stirring melodies to each of her songs. Accompanied by rich acoustic guitar, Blair’s songs uplift and unravel before you with themes of love, loss, humanity and spirituality. She recently completed her debut self-titled CD.
Setting her world to song, Blair offers us a dynamic collection of 11 new songs, each one sung with spunk and spirit. The record features some of Philadelphia’s finest musicians, such as Jef Lee Johnson, Chico Huff, Charlie Patierno, and Joel Bryant . The record was produced by Grammy award-winner Glenn Barrett at Morningstar Studios in Ambler, PA.
Her sound is heavily influenced by the people and places she has encountered while living in Colorado for two years and while studying in New York City, where she attended Columbia University.
Blair is also involved in global human rights issues. She launched a multimedia campaign in 2000 called Beyond All Borders to raise awareness about the use of child soldiers. She has performed at the United Nations, as well as in Ghana and Switzerland.
