Lately, my new stuff is generally faster, harder, more urgent, intense. I don't know, sounds like music.

I'm a black, queer writer and musician. I went to South Africa and on a a few tours including a six month independent tour of the U.S. I grew up in New Jersey. I live in Detroit. I'm interested in every kind of music. It just has to move me. Always been interested in doing a lot of different styles. I feel I'm ready to dive deeper.

I'm in my home town in Nebraska. In a week I'll be in London and parts of England for two weeks. Then I'm moving to NYC in August for 5 months but I plan to return to Nebraska after that. Of course I always keep things loose and see what happens.

Thanks for the ad! It was gret to see you last month when you performed for my African American literature students. It really was a very special experience for them--it came up again and again in discussion as a touchstone. Please come and tell your friends about our upcoming CD release party. (Although I think you will be rocking Germany at the time--still, spread the word!) We are going to perform a set and then be followed by M.L. Liebler and the Magic Poetry Band and then Leonardo singing Delta Blues. Afterward, we will have a general jam session with whoever wants to play.
