About Blake9

My stage name is Blake9. I run an independent label called Candlewax Records. I produce for several groups on my label. I just released a solo EP called, "Walking Thru Fire." I currently work with three groups on my label. The Acorns, a crew comprised of Mad Squirrel from the bay area's Forest Fires Collective and myself. Nine:Fifteen is another group I make beats for. Nine:Fifteen is Comel (aka Biscuit) of Time Machine fame. I've started a new project with a friend of mine that goes by Ionic. We call ourselves Yesterday's Truth. I have three 12-inch records out with Nine:Fifteen, "Spilt Milk," "Deluxe Laminated," and the most recent "Walking Thru Fire." Be on the lookout for our album to drop soon! The Acorns have an album out called "Dropping From the Trees." Yesterday's Truth is working on their début. One of my most recent collaborations was with Count Bass D. Other creative ventures includes a 7-inch with Olive Green from San Francisco, and various Mix Cds, which can be found at your local record store, or on the web at www. candlewaxrecords.com as well as iTunes.
