Welcome. I’m Blake Albinson and I belong to Bullet Lodge, a regional chapter of a speed composition society called Immersion Compostion Society, or ICS.
The idea in Bullet Lodge is that every month each Lodge member, or sibling, chooses one day where they write, arrange, and record as many songs as possible in those 24 hours, minimum of 6 songs. Special rules have been adopted to allow for "Marathoning", in which you owe one additional song for every 4 hours you stay awake after the first 24 hours without sleep. Then, in a secret and mysterious set of rites and passages, and with plenty hummus and fondue, we convene and show each other what we’ve got.
If any musician is reading this, I urge you at once to do this. You’ll surprise yourself in ways you never thought you could surprise yourself (surprising?).

Hey man, we've always loved your music.. I've been a fan since I discovered bubblemath back in 2004. That whole speed writing thing has really influenced some of my own compositions, and Ive been trying to get some of my own musical friends to try it with me. No sleep and a synth sound ideal.
