What is "Idol Bored"? Contrary to what the name may imply, we are a group of fans who are far from bored with American Idol ®. The name derives from a group of fans were a little older than average AI fan. During season 6 while Blake Lewis was taking the show by storm, we took part in discussions on other message boards. Due to the overwhelmingly younger age group that was predominant there - and coupled with the understandable restraints of those sites - we became "bored" as adults who were in an environment that was not ideal for us. Thus, Idol Bored began its existence. Make sense now? Cool.
Since those beginnings, we have grown to become so much more than a simple message board. We are now a tight community of AI fans over 18 which features not only forums for discussion, but also interviews, multimedia, and more. A big part of "more" is our serving as the home of the B.L.Army© (Blake Lewis Army), the officially endorsed street team of Blake Lewis. The B.L.Army, or BLA, is a team made up of Blake Lewis fan sites and affiliates working together to promote his post-AI career. Idol Bored has dedicated sections for Blake Lewis, the BLA as well as the new David Cook section all within the Idol Bored forums. With this having been said, the heart of our community is centered around American Idol® - including past, present, and future seasons and the the performers and personalities who make the show what it is.
