TCP's new album "The Way", is available in many countries. Please see our blog here or website for release notes. Having received critical acclaim by progressive staff writers and other critics, many are seeing this album as the marriage of 70's old school art rock to modern day progrock. We agree.
Totaling over 70 minutes, the 11 tracks that make up “The Way” showcase the band's dynamic blend of dark, melodic vocals with extended instrumental interplay as layers of soaring guitar and keyboard passages lock into a solid foundation of shifting and complex rhythms.
Also known as Temporal Chaos,
TCP is a studio project based on the collaborative spirits of Henry Tarnecky - vocals, Blake Tobias - keyboards, bass, and Jack Wright - guitars, drums. All three are multi-instrumentalist progressive songwriters. They are joined by a variety of special guests who help to forge the unique TCP sound.
As a vocalist, Henry makes efficient use of just about any musical landscape, often working where few vocalists would ever go. With characteristics many find reminiscent of Peter Gabriel, Henry has the diverse flair for capitalizing on both sparse and dense landscapes in dramatic fashion. His vocal line work with complex timing and asymmetric rhythm is a fundamental and endearing trait for progressive fans. His lyrical style ranges from humorous to sobering, from pointed to ambiguous - his words the impetus for further thought. The word poet suits Henry very well.
Blake is known for his rhythmic style of melodic counterpoint on the keyboards. Ranging from the serene to bombastic, he presents a host of emotions and vibes uniquely suitable for the occasion. Equally at home with shades of classical inspired symphonic stylings as well as modern and vintage synths, the melody, intrigue and varieties flow freely. A big fan of the Mellotron, Blake also holds down the low end in most songs, where his bass can usually be found playing both melodic and rhythmic roles.
Jack’s fluid guitar lines combined with his capacity for numerous articulations and styles make him a versatile force. No stranger to rhythm, he is as fluent as a rhythm player as the lead role. His math-rock orientation and preference for complex time signatures translates into addictive forays into a vast progressive landscape. His drumming follows suit, ranging from the spartan to the sophisticated according to the demands of the song.

Just received 'The Way'. What an absolutely spectacular musical achievement! Thank you for following your convictions and going deep; exercising your musical senses and intellect and going to levels too often left uncharted and taken for granted. It has been such a tragedy that the industry has induced society with the equivilent of fast-food musical product when the human spirit longs for so much more--unless 'whoever' is in some kind of idiological coma! Listening to your work is like exploring an enormous buffet of soul-absorbed frontiers that, when sampled again and again, continues to reveal more layers of musical ingenuity and passion. I am definitely getting the word out on TCP! Thanks again for your contribution! Blessings! SG
