Right now I'm playing bass with the Woosley Band. I was in a bluegrass band called Big Red & the Wagoneers for 3 years. Prior to that I was in a formerly alt-country outfit called the X-Rated Cowboys. Before that, I played bass in a jazz-esque band, Solar System Navigators. Before that…dang. Monkey Puzzle, Groove Therapy, Iron Angel, Alcazar, Surreal Reality, Axis, and basically any other band I thought had a goofy name and no chance of going anywhere. (and I say that with love) I could list the bands I like but who cares. They're all dead. Jaco, Bill Monroe, Hendrix, Hank Williams, Miles, Gram Parsons, pre-1988 Metallica, etc. Drive-By Truckers, Bad Livers,Slayer, Coltrane, Black Sabbath, Mingus, Zappa, King Crimson. blah blah blah anyone who is willing to wing it in the face of potential humiliation gets my vote.
