BLANCA STAR OLIVERA was born in Madrid, Spain . Her father always said that by the way she cried when she was a little baby he knew she could sing .
But because she was a very good student he wanted her to become a lawyer or a surgeon.On the other hand, in contradiction , her parents fed her love for music taking her to classical music training in Conservatory. Suffering a tragic and tormentor situation at that moment , but determined to be an artist and to be the best she could, she went to New York by herself at the age of 18 without her father knowing about it.
Sometimes with no money , no job , she had to share a bed with four other people in The Bronx .
In New York Blanca* studied voice and dance at Broadway Dance Center with teacher Robin Dunn and got her G.E.D title in George Washington H.S. Within less than one year she already started singing back-up for a rock and roll band and then for recording studios , restaurants and discoteques, being her greatest performance in Roseland 54th Street New York City as part of a Tex-Mex group as a vocalist, sharing stage with well known mexican top groups Rayito Colombiano and Llayras.
Also all over the city she shared stage with El General , Los Angeles Negros and Tomates Verdes.
Her first trip back to Spain was when she got a contract to sing in the city where she grew up : Huesca. Second trip to Spain was when a record label in Barcelona sent the airplain ticket to her , they recorded a latin music album but because of budget disagreements this album wasn..t released then. This production that was recorded with some of the best musicians in Barcelona from El Taller de Músicos. ( This production title will be "NEW YORK LATIN HITS" , her First Allbum released on June 2007 ) .
In 1999 Blanca had to travel back and forth between Barcelona and New York , because her mother , who had leukemia needed her after Blanca..s father death. Blanca..s mum died in 2000.
Having two labels interested in her , but not getting offered a reasonable deal , she decieded to make her own record label "Blanjie Records" and release a Maxi Single with 4 songs she wrote : AMOR PLATÓNICO.This Maxi Single was on Los40.com , top Spain radio station..s web site in a demos contest for new recording artists getting great reviews from the music industry as well as the public..s comments ( now this Maxi Single "Amor Platónico-Platonic Love" is availabe on iTunes , Rhapsody , MusicNet - iMesh , Napster , Yahoo! Music , iMusic Br , Zune.net , 7 Digital , Nokia Music Store , Terra PixBox ,MSN Music Brasil , iMusic Brasil, Starzic France and eMusic ). In the meantime she also wanted to improve her artistic skills and took acting lessons in two of the best schools in Spain: Nancy Tuñón and Collegi del Teatre , finishing Advanced Stanislavsky Method with Boris Rotenstein . All this was possible thanks to the fact that her mother left her the apartment so she had to pay no rent and thanks to her then husband Hector..s support , with financial expenses as well as with his Faith .
Blanca* ..s also appeared in TV Spain singing and sharing stage with top artists David Civera , Lucrecia and Armando Manzanero , as well as appearing as several times on POPSTARS where she made it to the Finals.
In 2007 a minor label in Barcelona called Mediterraneo Music Latino S.L has signed Blanca* to a national distribution deal to release her "NEW YORK LATIN HITS" , her FIRST ALBUM. . After 14 years of struggle and knocking labels doors , HER DREAM IS COMING TRUE .
With modest budget for marketing , NEW YORK LATIN HITS & PLATONIC LOVE are being played on radio stations around Spain , Italy , Usa , and it is as well requested by the english speaking public in UK and USA .
ORANGE.es cell phone company has chosen Blanca* as one of their " New Talents " 2007-2008 in Spain to sell 2 songs written by her via sms , ringtones,...
Blanca Star Olivera has also been selected by internet USA Abc Networks -Spain radio station Meer Music ( MMI / Fame Games / ONDA CERO Internacional ) as a finalist during First Annual Fame Games Effigy Awards 2007 in the following categories : BEST FEMALE VOCAL , MOST POPULAR SOLO , MOST POPULAR ARTIST , BEST ARTIST IN STYLE-POP, BEST OVERALL SONG ( "The number three cardinal sin" ).
November 2008 : Movistar cell phone mobile company signes Blanca* to a 1 year promo deal of her 2 Cds: "Platonic love" and "New York latin hits".
In february 2009 , new work is in a totally different music style , she has collaborated co-writing and singing a featuring in hip hop- rap single "BREATH" with artist Angody for his new Mixtapes - Album .
June 2009 : Blanca* reaches number 12 on th latin music charts MySpace Spain with "Como la flor " & "BREATH".
September 2009 , new Electronica- Soul single "TIME IS HERE AND NOW", melody and lyrics by Blanca* featuring music production by the incredible talented Dj Bu a.k.a Undersoul , remixed at DrySound Studios.

BLANCA STAR OLIVERA nació en Madrid , hija de madre aragonesa y padre uruguayo.
Su padre que era músico , decía que por la manera de llorar en la cuna cuando era un bebé , él siempre supo que ella podía cantar.
Aún así él quería que ella fuera cirujana o abogada. Contradictoriamente , sus padres alimentaron su amor por la música llevándola a diferentes Conservatorios y recibiendo formación clásica .Sufriendo una situación trágica y tormentosa en aquel entonces , pero determinada a ser artista aprendiendo de los mejores , a la edad de 18 años Blanca se fue sola a New York a escondidas de su padre .
Cuando llegó a la Gran manzana rompió el billete de vuelta . Muchas veces sin dinero , ni trabajo , tuvo que dormir en una habitación del Bronx donde compartía cama con 4 personas más.
Tomando clases de baile y canto en Manhattan con la profesora Robin Dunn , empezó a ir a pruebas y en menos de un año ya cantaba coros para una orquesta de rock and roll y grababa voces en un estudio de grabación en Queens. Llegando a cantar para 4,000 personas en el Roseland Ballroom de la calle 54 como parte de un concierto de varios grupos tex-mex ,
en este y otros conciertos compartió escenarios con El General , Los Angeles Negros , Rayito Colombiano , Los Tomates Verdes,...
En 1999 , tras fallecer su padre , Blanca volvió a Barcelona para cuidar a su madre que padecía de leucemía . Su madre murió un año después.
Buscando siempre un camino positivo , siempre intentando mejorar como artista , gracias a no tener que pagar alquiler viviendo en la casa que le dejó su madre , a pesar del dolor , Blanca entró en las escuelas de interpretación de Nancy Tuñón y El Collegi del Teatre .Terminó sus estudios avanzados de Sistema Stanislavsky con el profesor Boris Rotenstein.
En actuaciones musicales en TV3 , TVE2 , Tele5 la hemos visto junto a Julia Otero , Lucrecia , David Civera y Armando Manzanero . En el programa Popstars hizo varias apariciones como finalista de los castings.No recibiendo por aquel entonces una propuesta decente de alguna discográfica , ella misma financió dos producciones y un sello discográfico , contratando a algunos de los mejores talentos y maestros del TALLER DE MÚSICOS DE BARCELONA .
En 2002 editó con su propio sello discográfico Blanjie Records su primer CD : Amor Platónico , un maxi-single con cuatro canciones pop escritas por ella .Este maxi - single estuvo en puestos altos en un concurso de Los40.com , web de la estación de radio número 1 en España, los 40 principales , recibiendo muy buenos comentarios tanto de la industria como del público ( este Maxi-Single "Amor Platónico" está disponible en iTunes , Rhapsody , Napster , Yahoo! Music , MSN Music Brasil , Zune.net , Terra PixBox , MusicNet-iMesh , Nokia Music , iMusic Brasil , Starzic Francia y eMusic ).

En febrero 2009 , nuevo trabajo de Blanca* en un estilo de música totalmente diferente a sus trabajos anteriores ,colaborando escribiendo y cantando un featuring en el nuevo single estilo hip hop- rap "BREATH" en las Mixtapes del artista rap Angody.
Junio 2009 : Blanca* sube al puesto 12 de la música LATINA , MySpace España con "Como la flor" y "Breath".
Septiembre 2009 : nuevo single de otro estilo nunca experimentado anteriormente por Blanca , Electronica-Soul "TIME IS HERE AND NOW" , melodía y letra de Blanca* con la produción musical del increíble talento de Dj Bu a.k.a Undersoul , remezclado en DrySound Studios.
