Originally established in early 2001, Blanche Davidian practically locked themselves in the studio on a nightly basis for almost a year and a half before their live debut. They also isolated themselves from the status quo while focusing on songwriting, musicianship, and a unique concept. They indiscriminately pampered themselves with their true musical admirations: broad influences ranging from 70's glam/shock rock (David Bowie, Alice Cooper), old English punk/post punk new wave (Damned, PiL), primitive goth (Bauhaus, Alien Sex Fiend), psychedelic modern rock (Flaming Lips, Tripping Daisy), and pervo-punk (Turbonegro, Dwarves).
Jaime Monistat VII (ex-Potato), Mike Hawk (ex-The Sport Model), and Ozzy Osmond over-clocked themselves in the self-recording and self-producing of their debut album "Attack of the Killer". This release showcased the combined musicianship and experience of the three original members, as well as, the lyrical genius of Jamie Monistat VII and the "no shame" guitar work of Mike Hawk. Before their stage debut in September of 2002, they added drummer Hugh Jass. By the end of the year, Blanche Davidian recruited Vil Vodka to share guitar duties and round out the lineup.
In late 2004, Vodka retired from performing and the band quickly picked up new guitarist, Nikki Seven. Blanche Davidian have gained the reputation as one of the best live bands in Phoenix. This claim can be attributed to their ferocious attack, hypnotic stage show, intoxicating vocal harmonies, and a passion for entertaining the masses.
