Ok, I am not so stereotypical of an entertainer. I enjoy horseback riding, 4 wheeler riding, I play the piano, the organ, the dulcimer, and am working on the violin even though it sounds more like a dying cat in a hell storm when i play and i make the animals howl. I currently have two dogs and enough cats to run a whore house. Anyone need any little furry mouse chaser's? LOL just call me!! I find alot of pleasure in oil painting as well as art in general. Dolly Rebecca Parton was born on January 19, 1946, one of 12 children of Robert Lee Parton, a tobacco farmer, and Avie Lee Parton (née Owens). Dolly grew up on a run-down farm in Locust Ridge, TN. At 12 she was appearing on Knoxville TV, and at 13 she was already recording on a small label and appearing at the Grand Ole Opry. After graduating from high school in Sevier County, Tennessee, in 1964, she moved to Nashville to launch her career as a country singer. She fell in love with Carl Dean, who ran an asphalt-paving business; they got married on May 30, 1966 (and they are still together). The next year, Dolly's singing caught the attention of Porter Wagoner. He hired Dolly to appear on his program, "The Porter Wagoner Show." Dolly stayed with the show for 7 years, their duets became famous, and she appeared with his group at the Grand Ole Opry; she also toured and sold records. By the time her hit "Joshua" reached #1 in 1970, her fame had overshadowed Porter's, and she struck out on her own, though still recording duets with him. She left him for good to become a solo artist in 1974. Dolly gained immense popularity as a singer/songwriter. Dolly won numerous Country Music Association awards (1968, 1970, 1971, 1975, 1976). This petite (5'0") beauty was a natural for television, and by the mid-1970s Dolly was appearing frequently on TV specials and talk shows. Dolly then got her own show, aptly titled "Dolly" (1976). In 1977 Dolly got her first Grammy award: Best Female Country Vocal Performance, for her song "Here You Come Again." OK, as always i feel like i am puttin up a display at Dillards when i have to type up a description or profile. Well, here goes. Blanch was born after a name change about 7 years ago when middle age blue's hit and I realized that with other entertainers using similiar names, it was time to make a effort to find more individuality. I love what i do and that is entertain and work the stage to give everyone their money's worth and perhaps shine a little lite on a bad day or date. LOL! Now I am 32 years old, married and having the time of my life. I have made many friends and feel I have touched many lives with what I do. If you have never seen one of my show's or met me in person; Please come out and do so, you will not be sorry!! There are several persons who have had a big hand in making Blanch the character she is today. To those who have had a part in this, I send out a huge hearted thank you!! My preformances are most often in Monroe Louisiana, Dallas Texas, Longview Texas, Alexandria Louisiana as well. I love the style I have come to use in my shows. Like Dolly once said " It costs a lot of money to look this cheap." I will come out in anything from a nude biker chick suit all the way to a lequid beaded gown. Who I'd like to meet: Well, here is where I am usually thought of as a little bit of a big head, but I have met some really great professional entertainers in this line of work. A few professsional friends of mine are Maxxi LaMont, Jessica Danials, Katarina Foxx (and thats Kat a Rina), Nicole Dubois and Grand Ma Porkey.
Now, asside from the line of female illusionists, I have personally met individuals such as the late Floyd Cramer, the late Conway Twitty. Dolly Parton as well as most of the cast of Steel Magnolia's. I would however, love to meet and greet Dolly Parton again. Now that i am older, we might actually have something really more in common that we could talk about LOL!! I also hope to eventually meet Robert Redford before he goes on to meet his maker!
