Blankest Year are a 4 piece alternative rock band from Aberdeen. Their influences include Idlewild and Biffy Clyro.
Formed in Winter 2006, Blankest Year have played a few gigs around Aberdeen and have just recorded their first CD which is on sale now in One Up or on the website. The band was started by Glenn Buchan (Guitar) and Nick Fyfe (Drums) who met through school and started writing material together. We are currently looking for a new singer after parting with Richard Halliday
The band have currently taken a back seat in the gigging scene so to work on new material, but should hopefully be back soon.

Nah not really just excited! Emm we're starting to record our EP this week, then KEF offered us another gig in august and we have a couple more gigs after that. Probably just writing over summer. What about you guys?? Mattx
