Spanning the age range from a 17 year old drummer to a 29 year old lead guitarist, the members of Blank Stare bring to the table strong musical influences and experiences from different decades, giving their music an exciting and unique sound unlike any other.
Hailing from the Oklahoma City area, BLANK STARE delivers an original hard rock, progressive metal sound with haunting, melodic vocals. Their music hints at influences ranging all the way from Pantera, Black Sabbath, Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold, to Tool, Pink Floyd, Rush, Deftones, and even blues undertones of Led Zepplin and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
BLANK STARE formed in October of 2003 and has evolved as a five member band consisting of Dustin Harth on lead guitar, Johnathon Blazer,aka “Johnny Blaze” on bass, Wil Hunt on rhythm guitar, Ronnie “RAGE” Meyer on drums and vocalist, Roby Holshouser.
Well known and respected in their local music scene, and enjoying a loyal fan base, BLANK STARE plays the circuit of larger venues including Bricktown Ballroom, Bricktown Live, The Diamond Ballroom, and the renowned Green Door as well as numerous clubs, bars, public events and private parties in and around the Oklahoma area. BLANK STARE has shared the stage with many local bands and signed bands including Twisted Method and Dope, and in 2005 opened for CHIMAIRA (off the Slipknot tour) at Bricktown Live.
