Welcome to my Myspace Page!

First off I would like to thank you all for viewing my page. What can I say about me, well, let’s first start by saying that my name is Melissa, but go by unique b. real, that’s my name. When you see me, you may think I’m just an average girl that goes to school, has a regular 9-5 job hangs with friends late at night and so on. Not really, there’s more in store with me. I’m a custom sneaker designer, graphic artist, painter, and I also hand paint clothing, to sum it all up, I’m an artist. I learned graphic designing, customizing shoes and hand painting apparel all less than five years. Usually when something is interesting to me, I learn fast and usually learn it within a few days to a week. In December of 2006, that’s when things were jumping off I started customizing sneakers, I was so fascinated when I started customizing sneakers that this was something that I wanted to do, it was an escape from all the drama in my high school back than. I would spend long nights painting sneakers and designing them for clients, here in America and in Tokyo. I started hanpainting apparel the same time I handpainted sneakers, but was more into shoes, usually, I like to spend time by researching and knowing what paint to use of materials to use before I start on it. I don’t want to do a sloppy job and then send it to someone. I’m all about critiquing my work and making sure everything is the way I want it to be. I learned graphic designing, last year in September, I searched youtube on how to make a myspace layout, and watched some interesting videos that taught me, it’s quite simple actually if you’re interested in computer graphics. Within one week I made my own myspace layout. So I express myself through computer images, sneakers and apparel. But that how I see things as, everything is art, lines, curves shapes, objects, people, and were all art but we don't know it. Another nickname I have is CoolNerd'89, that's something I came up with because I feel I'm geeky at times, not having any friends, not popular in high school and so on, and I may not be every guys dream girl but I feel what I do is cool and I'm into things that cool people are into so it's an oxymoron. I'm just your average blck girl, especially, I'm just weird in general, I think about stuff not realting to what we ay be discussing.

I come from a real humble, loving family that consists of a mom, dad, brother and cat. I’m pretty much doing this for my family, hopefully with my art I can branch off into other aspects and help them out. I also love writing and currently working on a murder mystery novel, it takes time writing a book, especially with a all the other stuff I have going on. I want to branch off into other aspects of things, not just designing, because that gets old after awhile although I love designing, I want to write and do stuff that’s non related to what I do now. When I was younger, around 14, that’s when I decided to become an emcee, I love Hip-Hop, it’s what I breath, eat and sleep everyday, Hip-Hop is more than just getting up on stage, gripping the mic while grabbing your crotch, it’s a movement, culture and a lifestyle. I’m old school, so I love many emcee’s from the late 80s to the 90s. Many people know Hip-Hop as it is today, but not back than and I feel many people should study Hip-Hop like it’s a religion, and that’s what my religion is, it’s Hip-Hop. Just like KRS-One said, “Rap is something you do, Hip-Hop is something you live.” I love that quote because you can’t live rap but you can live Hip-Hop. I love this culture so much and it’s like watching a baby grow up and mature, sometimes, it can be immature as well, but. I didn’t mean to write so much, many people have a tendency to ask me repeated questions on what I do or like to do and this is just a simple bio of myself and how I got started. Thanks for reading!

“As your life is proliferating and dodging each bump in the road, gliding along with the most envious, trying to knock your hustle and put an end to your career. You shall create a barrier, to put an end to the most envious, those that hate, but as soon as you’re gaining word of mouth, and more clientele, that barrier begins to crack like a stampede full of animals busting down a brick wall, the ones that are envious, return to your presence. Therefore, your skin begins to thicken up, not physically, but mentally. A fiendish, red gleam in their eyes, the look of evilness, trying to stop you from what you delivered to the public. They try and try again to put your career on pause, matter of fact; they try and stop it, permanently. If you’re doing something, that most aren’t capable of doing, and they envy you, then you know you’re doing something correct. The most envious will give you a cold shoulder, your friends turning there backs on you because you’re now living in a blissful life, while their struggling to reach your destination. You worked hard in order to live the life you live, you created stepping stones for the little ones to follow. As they reach their destination, they also create stepping stones in order for other little ones to look up to you. Your journey will never end, as you reach a point in life where you’re losing interest in what you’re doing. You can look back and smile to what you’ve gave, all the success that you have gained. When you lay six feet under ground, the ones that were envious, will start to miss you, they never really miss you till you’re gone and dead as they say, till you rot beneath the earth’s surface. Your body might not be visible to the locals, but your name will always be remembered, even to the most envious…”
