Here you will find links to my new online [boutique] store @ Big Cartel as well as my new website/blog where you will find current updates on my new collections, photographs and fashion/music related musings from time to time. BGD is an eclectic range of one of a kind deconstructed and sometimes reconstructed custom made Catholica and hand crafted jewelry/clothing designs, limited edition conversational pieces, covet worthy sacred adornments and wearable art created for the individual at HEART.

BGD began as a cathartic accident a few years back when I was designing merch for my band MY RUIN. Named after one of the first songs I wrote & recorded for MR [on Speak & Destroy-1999]after leaving Tura Satana, 'Blasphmeous Girl' became my personal anthem, motto and trademark in more ways than one.

BGD is not about being irreverant with my designs, it's more about being subversive and sancrosanct. I enjoy manipulating and mixing images and I love to hunt, gather, recycle and rehabilitate found objects both new and used to help me create unique and unexpected thematic assemblages in the form of jewelry & clothing. My collections are dramatic and each original handmade piece and spiritual accessory tells a story and makes a statement, not just about the person who made them but the person who wears them. I am heavily inspired by religious imagery, icons and rock & roll culture which I often romanticize and combine within my designs which are all very personal to me and often times hard to part with.

I have lived my life with a DIY ethic from my art to my music and like my music,BGD is a labor of love. My designs are not available in any stores except this one because I want the people who buy my creations to be the same people who listen to my music and understand who I AM as an ARTIST.

I embrace the flaws and variations of each piece I create and I do not follow any rules. I adore things with a lot of charm and character even if that means they have a few scratches. Many of my jewelry pieces involve hand painting, stamping, wire work, staining, oxidizing, punching and reassembling. I incorporate a variety of images within my designs but have stayed true to the things I often find myself drawn to and have collected myself through the years such as:

brass animal, valentine & filagree stampings, metal & carved sacred hearts, reversed cabochans & vintage cameos, crucifixes, ex votos, milagros, mementos, roses, knives, medical instruments, shadow boxes, mexican reliquary, plaques, rosaries, prayer cards, scapulars, shrines, liquor tags, medals, sick call boxes, last rites crosses, ephemera, skeleton keys, 70's charms, religious antiquities, icons & devotional objects.

My mission with BGD is to remain committed to following my heart and my own particular vision which will always remain unmoved by trends. My collections are based on my mood and my prices are based on the time and detail invested in designing each piece created. My collections will constantly be evolving and I will add new items for sale to my store as often as I can and /or on special occasions.     So last night Nic and I went out, drank a little Jack and then came home to do the BGD shoot. We listened to the LVRS and burnt some incense, and the outcome was incredible - the shots are amazing, really.     Waiting for a BGD package to arrive is something close to agony, but when it arrives it is soooo worth the wait! I am proud to say that I am addicted to Blasphemous Girl Designs, and now I think I am addicted to that feeling of seeing the envelope on the table, opening it to be intoxicated with that gorgeous scent which lingers in my room for days, and ritually removing each item one at a time with a perpetual grin on my face. From this recent collection, the first item that was a must for my cart was the Blasphemadora Skirt. I never wear skirts, but I had to have it, and now I will. This was followed by the Silver [Jesus] Slip Dress. Nowhere in the world will anyone ever have or see anything even close to this (except for the gold one), and I must admit I look amazing in it! I think that is another dimension to add to the beauty of BGD: not only are the designs one-of-a-kind and incredible, but they are boosting the confidence of females around the globe!
