About me:
I'm a record collector and DJ with the main focus on jazz, funk and latin, but I love soul, afro, exotica etc also.
I'm the co-host of 'Snap Your Fingers', a weekly jazz show on Radio Scorpio (Mondays 7-8pm, 106FM, Leuven only) and the host of 'Pulsations', a daily jazz show on online radio station LDBK radio (www.laid-back.be).
You can find me behind the decks on my monthly dj night 'SOULORAMA' (Every last friday of the month at Café AperO, Leuven), together with Teddy Tendertouch, playing Funk, Latin, Jazz, Afrobeat and Soul music.

The 31th edition of Jazz Hoeilaart: Join the Contest!

If you are an ambitious jazzgroup with young musicians you can inscribe for the Jazz Hoeilaart Contest 2009 until the 15th of may. The festival, which is organised by Muziekmozaïek in collaboration with vzw De Rand, will take place from the 24th until the 26th of September and is intended for young international Jazz talent.
The 30-years old festival has its reputation for bringing international talent into the spotlights. Many known artists, such as Rosario Guiliani, Michiel Borstlap, Magnus Lindgren, Alexi Tuomarila and Robin Verheyen were on stage at this international contest.
The 31st edition of the contest will open on Thursday the 24th of September 2009. Until the 26th of September six finalists will perform in a contest-formula. Each evening will close with performances of Jack Van Poll/ Jef Neve/ Bart Van Caeneghem/ Ewout Pierreux (24/09), Hijaz (25/09), en Cintia Rodriguez (28/09). Ambitious young musicians can inscribe for the contest-section until the 15th of May 2009.

54KOLAKTIV Presents a third edition of MO'YO'FRO' a Momo's. This edition will be a bit more eclectic then the previous one. We start of with the Laid Back crew (from 22h till 01h) playing HipHop, Funk, Soul and more. Followed by Momoneyhoney with their usual diversity. After our two girls Bok Bok will take over the decks and play u some of the newest UK sounds ranging from Funky House to Niche to Grime to Bmore and so on... The night will end with the 54KOLAKTIV crew featuring Ezzy, Azaryx & Midnight Cowboy and Phonetics & Walrus till the early morning.
