    "Kicking back to Indie’s golden Nineties of whine, women and song set to chunky guitar and endearingly bitchy drawls, Blasterbra sold out their first gig for good reason. "-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Flying the flag for alternative rock 'n' roll since they came to attention in 2008” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2010 sees the eagerly awaited arrival of Galway band Blasterbra’s new sampler “Soon”. The CD was written, recorded, engineered and produced by the band in their cottage-come-studio Abhaile Studios with Artwork by singer Anna Mc. This hard working band is hotly tipped for an exciting year. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last year Blasterbra put together a 2 track demo which received regular airplay on Icon, Phantom fm; demo of the week, Green & Live, Green on Red fm and Galway Bay fm. Based on this demo Blasterbra were selected out of over 2,000 bands to take part in the ‘Road to V Festival’ Battle of the Bands in the Islington Academy, London. The selection panel consisted of A&R from Atlantic Records, Virgin and NME. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In recent months Blasterbra have been busy honing their live show. They have been establishing a quickly growing fan base with a string of shows across the country.
