Icelandic pop-electro hipsters STEED LORD headline this night of hard hitting electronic mayhem. If there is one band at the moment who puts a stamp on the Nu-Rave sound, with their gangsta style, and the blinding amount of neon and glitter they flash its Steed Lord. A true dance party act, they are equal parts gangsta, rave and glam. The four-piece sites influences ranging from, 808 state, Prince, The Neptunes and genres such as ghetto tech and house, minimal electro, Chicago house, sensational 90's house music and the old-skool hardcore jungle massive. In other words, dance floor madness. Don't expect any headphone swapping here, this is a LIVE band going crazy on the stage at every moment. The band will be releasing "The Truth Serum Remix Project" via Last Gang Records (MSTRKRFT, Crystal Castles, Chromeo, Boys Noize) in stores everywhere on November 17th. This is a remix album of their debut ("Truth Serum") which was self-released in January to critical acclaim. The new record has an exciting heavy-hitting roster of remixers involved (including Crookers, Mehdi, Jack Beats, Tommie Sunshine, Klever and more). Don't bring your glow sticks, just wear something, well trashy and colorful. Remeber PLUR? Well maybe this night, we can make it PLURAL, adding an A for Attitude and L for Lewdness on the dancefloor. Advance tickets for $10 available online / 21 + |
