The new Blastmat bio - written by your local metalgod. 1. It started out in 2001, when three members of the last version of the Sanity Assassins met Ed the drummer. It came together and Blastmat was born. We played a bunch of shows and released a couple Cd’s.
The first line up was: Ed- drums, Phil – vocals, Keith – bass, Andy–guitar. 2. Things happened. Phil left and was replaced by Ryan King. So now the line up was: Ed- drums, Ryan – Vocals, Keith – bass, Andy –guitar. We played more shows, released more Cd’s. Then more things happened. Keith left, the band took a break for 18 months and Keith was replaced by Gervasio Forte (from my old band Stitch). 3. The new Blastmat 2007 line up is: Ed- drums, Ryan – Vocals, Gervasio – bass, Andy – guitar. Which brings us to now. New Cd very soon. Shows posted as they come. Underground forever. Rock on……………. our sixth cd "the kids are alright" is being released in CT on NOV. 28 at the EL-N-GEE in NEW LONDON (ALL AGES) and in MASS on DEC. 5 at LONDON BILLIARDS in WORCESTER (18+)!!!!
