Atlanta's Blast-Off Burlesque is a collective of neo-burlesque performers, who revel in the traditional vaudeville splendor of the show, spiced with just enough modern edge. Founded in 2006, Blast-Off Burlesque has joined forces with emerging and established talent from across the country. In addition to its integral role in the monthly Silver Scream Spook Show, Blast-Off Burlesque makes regular appearances in Atlanta and around the Southeast. Blast-Off cofounder Dickie Van Dyke has been named SoVo Editors’ Choice for Best Drag King, and Dickie was voted second place, Readers’ Choice in its Best of Gay Atlanta 2008 awards. Blast Off Burlesque has been voted 2009's "Best Burlesque troupe" by the readers of Creative Loafing!! Blast-Off performs on the last Saturday of every month at The Silver Scream Spookshow at the historic Plaza Theater in Atlanta, and is currently booking events for 2009-10!

    Wed (the 21st) me and my pals that worked on the URBNPOP comic will be
    doing a signing at Criminal Records in Little Five Points. Here's the
    deal: Chris Hamer (Mr. URBNPOP), Andrew Bellury, Craig Henderson, RyShu
    (that's me), Eric Peterson, Ted Murphy, Zano Ludgood and Writers Bobby
    Nash will be signing copies of Urbnpop comics. Limited edition Art for
    sale and free sketches for every comic purchased! Atlanta Rock band
    It's Elephant's will be playing a live set as well that night and
    selling their record " Get Along". Fun starts at 6 sharp! Get there
    early. We are raffling off a hand painted Skateboard Deck!

    Colossal Medicine Show News!

    Antonio Hoyos will be joining us on the 16th of June, appearing as "The Great Antoine!"

    We are delighted that this great comedic performer can join our line-up.



    The Pop Haydn Post-Modern Medicine Show will be appearing at The Laugh Factory, 8001 Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood! One show at 8:00 PM.

    Pop will be joined by Professor Dave Bourne and the Medicine Show Band, Rob Zabrecky, Sophie Evans, Antonio Hoyos, Phil Van Tee and Pop's Candy Girls for a wonderful show of Old Time Music, magic, comedy and variety.

    It'll make you feel better!
