Founded in 2003 as the Cleveland Lesbian Gay Allies Concert/Marching Band, The Blazing River Freedom Band is Cleveland's only all-inclusive instrumental performing ensemble. You can be gay, lesbian, bi, straight, purple... we don't discriminate! The Concert Band is widely recognized for its superior artistry and diversity in programming and our Marching Band performs at events in Cleveland and all throughout the Midwest during the summer months.
We are open to all wind players, brass, percussionists, and string players! Come to a rehearsal and find out what we're all about! We rehearse weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:15p-9:30p at Franklin Circle Church, 1688 Fulton Rd. in Ohio City. All skill levels are represented, from professional musicians to the very beginner.
We also have many openings for support staff and are currently seeking an active Grant Writer!
