DJ Blazita, the most dynamic female DJ on the planet, resides in Brooklyn, NY. Blazita originally started DJing while attending the Penn State University – rated the number 1 party school for several years. Starting off as a radio personality in high school and then for college, she frequently hosted freestyle battles, interviewed special guests, and then later began spinning mix shows. When her interest in music and radio led to her learning to use turntables, Blazita began rocking private parties, clubs, and Greek life events across central Pennsylvania.
Blazita is now the DJ at popular clubs and parties in New York City and has taken over venues in other cities as well including Miami, Philadelphia, Cleveland, San Juan, and Toronto. A great music selection and the ability to control crowds by mixing and dropping hot records at the perfect time are what make DJ Blazita a powerful force at any event. Blazita has also been featured mixing on radio shows such as Sirius Satellite Hip Hop Nation, Shade 45, and 91.9FM in NYC. Blazita now spins live every Saturday on AListRadio.net "The Block Party" from 5-10PM.
To help up and coming artists market themselves and to promote herself as a DJ, Blazita also produces mix tapes. In 2008, she won an industry award (Justo) for BEST FEMALE DJ and is nominated at the 2009 Latin Mixx Awards. "The Hottest Chic in the Game" has been interviewed by various media outlets including Vibe, HipHopRuckus, Juice Magazine (Germany), RockMeTV, and has received honorable mix-tape reviews from XXLMag.com, Rapmullet.com and MTV. Blazita’s own favorite mix series known as the “Sex & The City: R&B Classics” was rececently nominated for 2 awards (Best Blend mix, Best Slow Jam mix) at the 2009 Southern Entertainment Awards.
