DJ Blazita, the most dynamic female DJ on the planet, currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. Blazita originally started DJing while attending the Penn State University – rated the number 1 party school for several years. Starting off as a radio personality in high school and then in college, she frequently hosted freestyle battles, interviewed special guests, and then later began spinning mix shows. Her interest in music and radio led to her learning to use turntables. After years of practice, Blazita began rocking private parties, clubs, and Greek life events.
Blazita is now the DJ at popular clubs and parties in New York City and has taken over venues in other cities as well as internationally. She spins a diverse selection of top 40, hip hop, r&b, latin, house, reggae, and 80s-90s classics. Having a great ear for music and the ability to control crowds by mixing and dropping hot records at the perfect time are what make DJ Blazita a powerful force at any event. In October 2009 Blazita was featured in an article by the NY Post titled, "TOP 10 HOTTEST LATIN DJS IN NYC".
Blazita's recent accomplishments also include winning a Justo award in 2008 for “Best Female Mixtape DJ” and her nomination for "Best Female DJ" at the 2009 Latin Mixx Awards. Blazita’s own favorite mix series known as the “Sex & The City: R&B Classics” was nominated for 2 awards (Best Blend mix, Best Slow Jam mix) at the 2009 Southern Entertainment Awards. DJ Blazita has been featured mixing on radio shows such as Sirius Satellite Hip Hop Nation, Shade 45, and AlistRadio.net.
