About Bright Lights, Big City

It's 1984. Jamie works as a fact-checker for a major New York magazine. His wife, a fast-rising super-model, just left him; he's still reeling from the death of his mother a year earlier. He plunges into a New York night life of partying, drinking, and drugs with his glib best friend Tad, and as a result hes on the verge of getting fired. A uniquely moving coming-of-age story, Bright Lights, Big City is set against the backdrop of the excessive yet glossy chaos of the 1980's. Composer Paul Scott Goodman has created a pop and rock infused score that generates a strong musical heartbeat inspired by the hit novella and movie, Bright Lights, Big City.

Cassi P	Jun 23 2006 3:48 PM had to comment on this album and just say I saw opening night in Philly and I was sooo amazed. I had bought the album much earlier the one starring Eden and Sheri. AMAZING!! Truly amazing, it's like the next Rent minus the lesbians, gays, and aids. Its an amazing show! I am trying to catch it again before it closes on Sunday. Much Love

This cast is beyond fabulous, if anyone can bring this show to life, these people can. I really wish I could get out to Phily to see this, but I'm tied up in a production of my own right now! Break a leg all!! (And a big shout out to Jonathan Shade!!)
