Formed after meeting, jamming, and hearing the obvious musical chemistry at various River City Blues Society of VA functions, the members of Blue Light District banded together with the intention of combining their diverse influences to create one of Richmond's most powerful, soulful and original blues bands. Crowd reactions at their live shows has been proving that their vision was on the money. Each member of the group is a seasoned veteran of bands that have performed at top-ranked blues clubs and blues festivals across the U.S., sharing the stage with, or opening for, major blues acts. The combination of their talents has been nothing less than explosive.
Blue Light District brings top-shelf musicianship, their own fresh take on blues standards, truly memorable original songs and most most importantly, their ability to bring the down and dirty blues, rock the house, and guarantee a great time for everyone at one of their shows.
