"a nasty riff fermented overnight in the chemical toilet, put through the mangle and subjected to abuse by psychotic wildebeests.Quite gloriously nasty all round.” Kris Needs – DMC Update (Oct 06)
“Many a good tune has been born from production mistakes and we can only assume this track’s origins derive from the gaff in its title. The Pimps’ own mix of “The Mistake” is a dirty monster of a track, fat with Boyz Noize style squelched bass. The Loose Cannons tighten the drum loops and chop the track into insistent fuzzy sub bass. Eames creates a nice high end bleep refrain while adding wub-wub bass and lilting electro to the 4/4 patterns – sounding not unlike an old Playgroup mix. Finally, and perhaps most fittingly, Kissy Sell Out pounds “The Mistake” into a superb Justice/Sebastian sytle reconstitution.” Ben Osborne – DJ Mag
