Hey everybody who actually is interested in learning about the band behind the music you are listening to... i am Jesse Mccoy and i started Bleached as a independent recording project in 2006 when i was 15 in the small town of canon city colorado. i recorded everything my self because it was hard to find members when your almost the only nerd who liked punk rock when everyone else was into neo-hardcore metal. I Recorded the "Stereotypes EP" under the name "Bleached" because i was to shy to put my name on it. although the response from friends and myspace were good i still needed a band to perform it. I knew i would never find other people who wanted to play what i was offering so i dropped out of high school and moved to Pueblo Co. For nearly the first two years i lived here i played every open mic and went to every show i could find to meet musicians and contacts. I recorded the first full length low-fi album "Life Long Stereotype" and started selling copies everywhere i could to get my name out, i needed a drummer. i soon started playing shows as a two piece with Ebag Martinez(one51) filling in on drums in mid 2008, soon i picked up Robert Zander on drums from my old band Vice President Nobody. In the transition period between drummers i recorded "Wasted Days" another full length album. One song stood out on that album called "Homicide" that song got our name out into the scene. We continued to catch people off guard as a two piece untill january 2009 when we picked up Jasen Matthews(calling the fall) on bass. I took some time in the middle to record "The Queen Is Dead" a 18 track album with songs like "Trendy and "Nothing". Zander departed Bleached in April 2009 and Ebag returned to the band for a long run of consistant shows to promote "The Queen Is Dead", until Jasen Matthews left to pursue his band Calling The Fall in September 09. The night of the last show with Jasen, our friend Easton Gilmore agreed to take over for Jasen on bass. Ebag left soon after to focus on One51 and we started the hunt for a new drummer. In the meantime i wrote the album "End Of An Era" and with some help from Easton on some of the bass tracks, the album was released in September 2009. The following November Anthony Soto(Sonic Vomit) filled the drummer position and we began playing constant shows. We recorded "Blood, Spit, And Pocket Lint" in late december, and promoted it with non-stop shows. It was the first album i've ever recorded as a band and i had written the majority of the album my self due to most of the songs being re-recorded tracks off "life Long Stereotype", "The Queen Is Dead" and "End Of An Era". We began writing new material in between shows and although the material was very well written it was drifting away from what i had originally set out to accomplish, the formula behind the early albums that i recorded my basement was being drowned out. through no fault of their own ,my band mates and i had two different ideas of the direction Bleached was heading and we had drifted apart musically. I had to return to the way things were and follow the road that got me where i am now. In July 2010 Robert Zander returned to the band in hopes to breath life in to what we had forgotten was our goal in the first place and with bassist Gabe Seamon(Sarcastic Bastards, Ex-Snapt) in the middle our goals seem closer than ever...
