Sounds Like
Since we try to keep all of our songs unique and fresh, there isn't really a definitive Bled Dead Rose sound. Most of the songs we write will be influenced by at least one of the bands in our influences section. A very general description would be a mix of blues, metal, and punk, along with the occasional ballad quality.
2004. No single other year is as important as this. Some may ask "why?" They should instantaneously be beaten with a 9 iron because they're a fucking dumbass. Obviously, Bled Dead Rose was crafted in the summer of 2004 by a kid named Austin Nichols, who is now known as "G.N. Remington." He recruited Jeremy Collier (Daggers "the Bass Ace" McGee) and Josh Kupsch (Emu) to create the first lineup of BDR. Not a whole lot happened through '04, but in the spring of 2005 they released BDR Volume I. Unfortunately, after the singles "Get Up, It's Time For Church" and "Beasts of England," the album left much to be desired. That summer, they recorded an extended version of "Beasts" and a new track called "Comrade Napoleon." Things were quickly halted, however, when Emu moved to Spooner. Remy and Daggers spent the rest of their summer practicing and pondering as they wrote some new songs, such as the in-progress epic, "The Doppelganger." During the birthday festivities of Emu, they wrote a basic version of the hit "Pepperoni Sue." That fall, Kollin Christofferson (Crotch) stepped in and more than filled Emu's shoes with his glorious all-around instrumental abilities. Throughout the winter, BDR worked feverishly on the highly anticipated "BDR Volume II/ Part Deux" Box Set. Little progress was made, however, and they decided to release their performance at the Hooplah for retail, which showcased their ability to write a great number of catchy and unique tunes. After this, a certain member of the band started spending most of his waking moments with a certain "rotten vagina," which brought unneeded tension amongst the band. To make matters worse, technical guru Bryan Zeile became quite difficult to communicate with and it became impossible for the band to release any of their new material on cd. This all brings us to current day. The band has been spending what little time they have together writing songs like "Hypocrisy Democracy" for the upcoming "Off-White Album" as they await an oppurtunity to finally get the double album out to the audiences. They are very grateful that their fans have not given up hope on the new album, and hope that it won't become the "Chinese Democracy" of Chetek.
