BIOG : self fed from an inquisitive young age on a musical diet of Fad Gadget, New Order and Depeche Mode 12"s , Bleepfunk (aka Graham Fletcher) has worked his way over the years through a broad spectrum of electronic music . . . via the early days of electronic body music, ON-U sound, industrial and indie to the world of detroit techno and chicago house via the legendary Colin Dale and Colin Favor Kiss Fm Shows, Graham has a passion for electronic music. The now primitive production world of Amiga sequencers and Casio FZ samplers soon followed.
DJing came later than most after many years of partying in Nottingham and London to deep house free party soundsystem DIY, Richie Hawtin and Wiggle warehouse raves in South London. Disillusioned with the increasingly rigid quantised state of mid 90's techno, Graham was introduced to the roots of house ( funk, rare groove and 'proper' disco) through fellow DJ’s. Relocating out of London to Newbury, Berks in 2000 after the birth of his first child, Graham decided years of frustration at DJ's playing non- descript average music when out clubbing meant he ought to make his own stance behind the wheel's of steel.
At this time creative producers such as Mathew Herbert and Akufen rekindled Graham's love for underground house and techno and his sets began to represent a broad spectrum of genre's linked by a focus on electronic instrumentation and boundary pushing whilst keeping a firm eye on the dancefloor. He describes his sound as "electronic funk" - " beats that inspire the mind, have funk, soul and melody - inventive ideas and that make you wanna shake your ass".
This might mean sets comprising of tunes from a variety of genre's . . Techy house, Broken Beat, Dubstep ,Techno, Minimal/Quirky House, Dub disco, Downtempo, Electronica , Italo Disco, Electro or Electronic hiphop depending on the venue and set time.
Graham has DJed alongside DJ’s / Live act’s such as Radioactive Man, James Lavelle, Mr C, Craig Richards, N Type, Pinch, Cyrus, DJ Muzzell and Mat Carter for underground Music promoters in the Reading area such as Checkpoint Charlie and more recently the Glade Festival in 2008. Graham currently incorporates Cycloops sampling and dub Fx into his predominantly Vinyl DJ sets.

Having released a couple of tuneful albums with theAudiologist and Soni Jimm since my last LP, "Fear of Mathematics", Section 27 Netlabel brings you "Wrpdata”, containing 14 tracks full of chunky, breathy and some would even say pleasantly broken breaks, some good-time-mind-fuck glitch, a few (thankfully blissful) orchestrated mixes featuring the talents of Pinklogik and theAudiologist (also acting as co-producer on this release) respectively, and ends sweetly with some beautiful spoken word poetry by the lovely aussie Cindel Waddington.
A delight on the sensory organs from start to finish, "Wrpdata" is available now for *free* download. Licensed by Creative Commons.
