“My style is defined as original, intuitive and imaginative, creating paintings based on an emotional response to a subject. The most consistent elements in my work are simple shapes and harmonious colors. I want to express to the viewer a unique perspective of life by telling my story, using the language of paint and brush.”

I survived the wolves. I want to say that right up front. The Bon Sault was fun. It's like a big party to celebrate winter. As previously mentioned, there are life threatening (affirming?) events involved. A relatively high level of self deception is required. Everyone gets together and tries to convince themselves that they love having 6 months of intense snowy winter. No joke, six months. Actually, I had an amazing time. Canadians are nice:) So are Portlanders. I feel I have been neglecting Portland. I am having a show at the Tea Zone and Camellia Lounge in the Pearl District this Friday the 20th. I would love it if you could come. There will be no Polar Bear Swims. But some nice music will be involved. I'll try to throw in some winter wonderland content if you feel left out because you couldn't come to Canada with me:. the show is 9-11pm. Let me know if you need directions.:) Hope to hear from you soon. -kate
Bonjour Blenda: It is nice to have a new friend near Portland, Oregon. Your work is striking and beautiful. I look forward to seeing more on your MS page. And welcome to you also. Warm wishes, Bridget "Untitled" 16" x 24" acrylic on canvas board (c)
Help! I'm stuck in Ontario! Have I mentioned it is ridiculously cold here? Also, there are wolves. No joke, like real wolves. Do they enjoy eating human do you think? Actually, i am having a great time with my cousin. She is trying to convince me to do this winter Ontario event that is called 'the polar bear swim.' Its awesome. It consists of them cutting a hole in the ice and lowering a cage down in there. Then you, the participant, run over the ice and jump in the hole down into the water where you feel like you are dying because your body actually is. Then you get out and run to the hot tub they have set up for you followed by a sauna so that you do not really truly absolutely die. Sounds like fun. I think I might try it. -Kate
