COLUMNS AND CONFIGURATIONS
The studio has shifted focus onto the coming Gallery show at CVZ Contemporary in September. The show will also launch a new book of animation drawings from several of my short films.
Patrick Smith has written, produced, animated, and directed five award winning films from 2000-2006. His latest work, "Puppet" is a traditionally animated film that premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. Smith made his directorial debut for the Emmy nominated MTV series "Down-Town", continuing on to direct the popular animated series "Daria." His bizarre, morphing style tells symbolic stories of identity and emotion, and have extended beyond film. His Public Art Installations have earned the artist a multitude of accolades outside the world of animation, his fine art is currently represented internationally by CVZ Contemporary Gallery in New York. Smith is a Senior Thesis advisor at the Pratt Institute in New York, a fellow with the New York Foundation of the Arts, and a curator for multiple international film and animation festivals. His studio is located in Tribeca, New York City.

Dear Filmmakers, Animation Studios, Schools and Organizations,
The second edition of the International "Fest Anca" Animation Festival, established by the ANCA civic association, will be held on July 31 ~ August 2, 2009 at the Stanica Zilina-Zariecie cultural centre in Zilina, Slovakia.
WE ARE NOW DESPERATELY WAITING FOR YOUR FILMS! THE DEADLINE FOR ALL ENTRIES IS April 10th 2009!
An international five-member jury -- renowned professionals in the animation field -- will grant 3 Anca awards to the best animations consisting of a trophy and cash prize. All awards will be announced at closing ceremony of festival on August 2, 2009. The decision of the juries is final.
Only animated films not longer than 30 minutes and completed in 2007-2009 are accepted. Animations must not have been submitted to previous Fest Anca. Only films in DVD format will be accepted for pre-selection. Submission is free.
Only authors or producers are legally authorized to enter the work in the festival. One author may submit multiple films (one DVD per film). Please note that we will accept only fully completed and signed application forms. The properly filled-in and signed entry form must be sent along with a DVD to the following address:

Joker = Ironic approach to History.
It focuses on the details of the laboratory "ubiquity thought"... collectively referred to as partitioning and transmutation. It has subsequently been used as a metaphor for spiritual transformation in the Hermetic tradition. The primary objective is to provide a basis for the development of pilot behavior... and demonstration systems for the most advanced partitioning processes and transmutations people, with a view to reducing the volumes of trivial thoughts and desires induced... and hazard of high-level and long-process... of the habitual and automatic behavior...cancellation of the richness of time of our lives
