Hi...If you could, can you please take a moment to read the rest of this???
I am 40 years old. I have been through many things in my Life that caused great suffering to myself and all who know me. The sorrows I have been through have had a domino effect on all around me. I lived in a world of loniness and despair. I tried everything I knew to do to free myself from the things I was going through. Nothing I did worked, NOTHING, that is until I was taught the following truths.
Welcome To The Cross Life, where I have been set free, through the Finished work of Jesus Christ I will never be the same. Today my life is peace and joy beyond what words can explain. As problems arise, and they sometimes do, I continually place my Faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross at Calvary. The Cross is the key to Victory, that I for so long tried very, very hard to accomplish in and of my own strength. It was impossible and I was failing miserably. I was very frustrated.
If a person told me to read the Bible in a year, go to Church daily, study for twelve hours a day and the list goes on, believe me I did it because I wanted to be set free from the miserable life I was living. For a long time I did just that. I studied daily for hours, took hundreds of pages of notes, watched TBN for many hours a day, just to find myself after a period of time in the same miserable condition. I could not understand for the life of me how I ended up back in the same place.
The problem was I was placing my faith IN THE THINGS I WAS DOING, AND NOT WHAT HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE FOR ME.
All those things are great Christian disciplines, BUT IN DOING THEM YOU ARE NOT SET FREE, believe me, after I came to know the truth, I am now set free. It's a huge relief, a rest, a tremendous difference.
You may not understand what happened when Jesus died on that Cross, neither did I, and sadly their are millions who don't. I always knew Jesus died for my sins, but my knowlege stopped their. Sadly many people perish because they never come to know the truth.
When Jesus died on the Cross He addressed every single Problem we would ever face. Alcoholism, addictions, lieing, stealing, cheating and every other flesh producing issues we would have.
When we place our faith exclusively in that finished work, the Holy Spirit can then come in and begin to change us. The same change I tried to do my self for so long.
It is at the Cross where our sin nature is crucified with Christ, our lives are hidden with Him. Now with the power of the Holy Spirit we are then able to walk in the newness of life. This is not a one time decision, this is a daily drawing off the cross as the means to victory, with Jesus Christ always being the source.
No-matter whats going on around you, no matter how you feel or think, If you continually look to the Cross, YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE.
