Bless You Boys is a four piece indie-rock combo hailing from Grand Rapids, MI. The band was formed in 2006 by frontman and lead vocalist Chris Andrus, "one of the most promising songwriters on the Michigan music scene today (The Grand Rapids Press)."

Made up of Andrus, guitarist/vocalist Brad Lawrence, bassist Steve Sullivan and drummer Brad Harris, the band has cultivated a truly original sound, blending the pop glory that characterized the music of the sixties with the guitar aggression of nineties alternative rock.

Drawing influence from artists like the Beatles, Brian Wilson, Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, Bless You Boys write songs that feature inventive harmonies, unique melodies and chord changes, and concise arrangements.

In their experience on the regional and national scene, the band has organized several self-promoted U.S. tours and shared the stage with countless national acts. On their latest tour, Bless You Boys travelled to New York City to tape a live performance of "Fearless Music TV" in Times Square. The performance is slated to air this fall on various network television stations throughout the country.

Bless You Boys released their debut album, "Armed to the Teeth," in the spring of 2007. Featuring standout singles "Molly and the Dressmaker" and "Riot," the album immediately garnered strong reviews, and was named "Album of the Year" by The Grand Rapids Press, one of the Midwest's largest newspapers.

The band's sophomore effort, "The Still Life," was released in August 2008. The band's first full-length, it features 10 expertly-crafted songs recorded live at Mackinaw Harvest Studios. The first single, "Carry Me Home," is already receiving substantial airplay on regional ClearChannel Radio, and is consistently one of the top requested songs.

You guys are dreamy. Thanks for selling 400 tickets to the show tonight. Really came through in the clinch. Just like the real "Bless You Boys" did back in 84.

Love,

As a matter of fact... he is! After all, is humor the best kind of currency. Why, just the other day I bought a pair of shoes with three jokes, two limericks, and a really thought provoking anecdote.
