My name is A t t o. I also go by Kuya (which means "big brother" in Tagalog), and Atreu. I am the eldest of two brothers, but often people look up to me like an older brother as well. I am a proud father of two beautiful children, lucky to have one each of a daughter and a son. My children are my heart and soul. I love them with all my heart. I like to draw, cook, and "people-watch" (in the malls, or on Ruston Way) and I also play guitar, and keyboard, but mainly I like to sing the most. I play in a band called Sleep Dream Time Machine with my brother. One of my songs called, "Don't look too far," you can hear on our SDTM music site, but you're hearing my brother's arrangement and performance of it (he's singing). He made it sound really great. :)
I currently double as an on-call office admin assistant and a 75%time promotional sales rep for C o m c a s t (3rd-party contracted). I would like to go back to school to major in either a romance language (Spanish, etc..) or in Japanese since I love to study other cultures through people, food, and language, and would like to get back into the education field. (I originally majored in Music Education). I'll probably start back up in the spring. (I have a wide range of interests, but this happens to be my current one, lol)

I like going out to eat, or staying up all night talking over good food or warm drinks at Shari's, or going out dancing at Masa's (I love to dance) or any dance place, period. I like to Lazer Tag! I like watching plays at the Pantages or somewhere up in Seattle. Love watching movies and independent films. My favourite thing to do is walk along Ruston Way. I LOVE it when it's sunny outside, and when it is, I love going for little walks and nature treks. It makes me too sad to stay indoors if it's sunny out! I also want to visit the Tacoma Art Museum or Museum of Glass. I enjoy going out and having fun with like-minded people!

I don't smoke. I don't drink. (But I do like to go to sports bars and clubs sometimes). I'm generally not a cat person (I only mention this because I'm allergic), though I do like them and they usually like me. (I own 2 goldfish and a pet robot, lol) I love to dance and watch live music. I am a good combo between going out for fun and also staying in and enjoying the home life. I'm a parent. I would describe myself as preppy meets cali boy, but I do have a secret liking for goth/punk/skater/rocker style as well. I actually enjoy sporting different looks depending on my mood.
I take care of myself, and I like to be stylish and presentable.
Culture is important to me. I am a first-generation born Filipino-American with a diverse cultural background. Raised with traditional Filipino values and typical Asian work ethic, close family ties, and cultural etiquette.
Do you know these foods? I like Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnemese, Korean, Filipino, Indian, Italian, Mexican...all kinds of foods!
I was raised traditionally "Asian," and I also have many strong liberal American traits that are also part of my character. Being Filipino, in my case, also means I share many qualities with people from Hispanic backgrounds, having had a common history as a country that assimilated influence from hundreds of years of Spanish colonial rule. Notice we are South East Asians, but our dance has a Spanish name, and our women are wearing the traditional "Maria Clara" as well as the men wearing our "Barong Tagalog," both of which are directly taken from Spanish Influence.
I do speak some basic Spanish, and I've also studied Mandarin, Japanese, and German in school. I Love studying other cultures through meeting people, eating and cooking foods from different lands, and learning new languages. I LOVE learning about culture.
I love the arts. I like to draw just for fun, though I wish I were naturally good at it (I have to fake my way through it). My favourite mediums are charcoal, graphite, pastel, and CG. Above:Some of my sketches, including Self-Portrait top left.
I'm an amateur photo enthusiast wannabe as well
I play some guitar and little bit of piano by ear, as well as drums and a few other instruments. I love listening to live music as well. I am also a big fan of theatre, particularly Broadway and musical genres. I listen to all sorts of music (in no particular order) including classical, rock, reggae, j-pop, alternative, hip-hop, rap, R&B, punk, ska, adult contemporary, even some country. The list goes on.
Family means everything to me. I was lucky enough to be raised by a caring family support system. I like to associate with others who can appreciate that kind of bond as well.
I like hanging with people who treat each other as equals. Who walk side by side, who are considerate of each other, who communicate with each other, who are not afraid to address sensitive issues in a sensitive way by extending compassion and understanding to each other by listening, truly listening to what the other has to say, and being there for each other when times are rough. Too many times I have made excuses for people with loveless behaviours because they were going through difficult times. But I realize now, especially when it comes to family and even close friends, where you must count on each other to pull through difficult times, the true measure of someone's moral fortitude is when things are toughest; when times are rough, you need to be able to depend on each other and be strongest when times are hard, but also know when to be soft and warm-hearted against a tumultuous harsh world around us. You can always depend on me. I'll always be there for you in a heartbeat.
I'm looking for positive, wholesome, and loyal people to surround me in my life. It's so hard to find good friends these days.

Hi Cuz! Thanks for checking up on me. Things WERE going semi-smooth, but as the pattern has proven, I'm on the downside of the rollercoaster. However, this is the LAST hill I'm riding on this tired rollercoaster, because I'm not going to get back on.
i got hurt hella bad... i drove by my co-workers fork lift n he park his lift around the corner... i saw it.. but i didnt slow down.. and his forks was pointing up in a angle.. and when i thought i got past his lift.. cuz im goin one way and the forks are pointed the opp. way... well, his forks hooked the bak of my rear tires n bumper... and then from FULL SPEED to come STOP!! and the i FLU off my seat but the S. Wheel prevented me from flying straight out.. but when crashed my stomach got all the pain n left my breathless.. i got the wind knocked out of me.. so the S. Wheel was like my seat belt in a painful way... did that make any sense??
I wish I could give you some of my strength to help you overcome your broken heart :(
Unfortunately, I've had my share of practice in the past, but the good thing is, it'll get better with time and when you know you have a lot of people who love you.
Kara might be back again this year, I hope, so we'll be sure you catch up with her next time, ok?

Thanks for the comments! This was taken back when I was still "nimble" and I was able to crouch down with feet spread apart as I balanced myself and took the picture with my Minolta SLR camera. I'm pretty short so I didn't have too far down to go! :)
