Blind Authority started on a whim. Four friends jamming in a damp basment in the suburbs of chicago...
It all started when Jon invited Josh for a session with his bong at his house after school in the Fall of 2007. It was that day that both Josh and Jon realized that they both had something in common; music. Not long after the two of them started jamming at Jons house in Lombard, IL, evenutally leading to Jon inviting friend, and also bandmate in his current band, bass player, Dan Rohlicek to join them. The three instantly clicked and were quickly able to bring thoughts and ideas into reality.
Enter Jim Burgess. Jim was the Guitar player of the band Poi POI PoI, a punk/rock band that also included Dan Rohlicek on the B-B-Bass, Jon Jakubik on the drums, and close friend Mark Kronenberg taking up lead vocals. After the trio had gotten down several ideas, they invited Jim Burgess to join them to see if another guitar could bring an edgier sound, and better song writing. It worked. The four members of Blind Authority are working hard now to write and record their first record and bring it to the streets and suburbs of Chicago.
