Dissolving the borders between punk, alternative and rock, Blinded combines melodic vocals with infectious beats and unforgettable hooks that force people to their feet to sing along. Their sound has been compared to bands such as Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Sum 41 and the Police.
Formed in 1999, by Sean Vickers (drums), Craig Smith (bass, vocals) and Brett Cheek (guitar, vocals) Blinded spent the first 3 years recording their first independently released album “Picking Up the Pieces” and touring across Canada. In 2002 the band picked up Brooks Vickers (guitar, vocals) and released their second independently released album “Seconds from Reality”. Shortly afterwards they hit the roads once again for a second cross-Canada tour. In 2004 the band scooped up Andrew Avril (lead vocals) and took a step back from touring to focus on recreating their sound, image and song writing style.
With over 7000 units sold from their first 2 albums and a large underground following now in place, Blinded’s music started to appear in many extreme sports videos (over 20 in total) including the acclaimed Crank mountain bike video and Crusty Demons Vol. 3. They have also received airplay on commercial radio not only Canada but in Germany as well and on Global Television.
Their latest accomplishment has been winning the ISC (International Songwriting Competition), where “I’ll Fight For You” received Honorable Mention in the “rock” category for 2007. This song was written to inspire people to start caring for the planet.
With their new sound and killer lyrics, the band seeks to evoke emotion, bring back memories and most of all inspire others to make positive changes on a global scale. Blinded is a brilliant collaboration of 5 free-spirited guys who are eager to make a difference and love to play music. They believe singing, laughter and good people make for a hopeful change in this world.

From when beeing similar too Avril Lavinge is something good???
BTW Your two first albums are fucking awesome, if i can i'll buy Seconds from Reality on the internet and... well... I felt very disappointed when I found out you left skatepunk to play this boring altern rock style and that you replaced your former signer. I have nothing against the new one (sorry, I don't remember his name right now), and maybe he sings better, but i liked the vocals on Picking Up the Pieces and Seconds from Reality.
And well, your webpage is actually down, so, you should better update your profile description and get a new web adress, shouldn't you?
Well, do what you want, of course, but I will always keep in my heart the old Blinded, the ones who rocked very hard!
And if some day I can see you live (something that I doubt if you don't come to Spain (haha, shit, I know you won't :( ) or I earn lots of money to go to canada or wherever you play) I hope you could play a few old skatepunk songs.
Just got out of the studio and have posted a new track "The Sun Sets For No One". We are very stoked on the results, come give er a listen and let us know what you think!
Rock On Eth! HELCION
We are playing Doc Willoughby's tomorrow night (sun) with Flatlined (ont) Youshould try and make it out :)
Hey I'll probably sound like a complete idiot if i'm wrong, but were you guys ever featured on the ride guide mountain bike show with a song called something like: "What could have been"?
