Another local underground band which you might have heard before is none other than Blind Meets Mute. Playing their very own rendition of Paramore's "My Heart", "Conspiracy" and "Pressure" as well as New Years Day's "My Dear" and the soothing ambient chords of Penfold's "I'll Take You Everywhere", made known to all by Blind Meets Mute themselves.
Now, Blind Meets Mute is back with their own originals namely their "Time's Up" and "Cherry Tree" and fresh tracks like "Sweet Insecurities". and "Random".
First founded by Video Killed the Radio Star, 'DD' Arfiyan who wanted to pursue a project with Soup of the Day's drummer, Fai. It was just as random as how they entered the studio every single time with a new track of originals. It was actually planned when both bands met at College Central Macpherson in a band competition held two years back together with Aliff, Idham and Ain.
In 2006 alone, Blind Meets Mute performed at a couple of shows at random demands. They are still underdogs in today's local music scene. In 2007, Blind Meets Mute was better known as "Para-lal" which is a combination of "Paramore + Halal" (It's better not to explain these terms). It was certainly an honour to perform alongside bands such as Misissued, 20 Dischanger, Leaven Trait, 180 and many more amazingly talented bands around at Tapestry '07 and Full Flight 2007.
By end of 2007, Blind Meets Mute faced a lot of struggle when their drummer, Fai and the guitarist, DD had to serve the country. Blind Meets Mute plans to maintain the strength and randomly funny and irritating weird habits they can come up with after Aliff and Idham gets their enlistment letters. But whatever happens, they all love each other and plan on making babies together. Hope you guys love our music just as much as we do and most importantly, stay happy!
