Blindraft was first formed as a band made of schoolmates in the College of Brequigny in Rennes, their hometown.
Damien (keyboards) and Yves ( who took most of his guitar lessons with Gildas, Live Guitarist of Satyricon from Norway) were both big fans of Heavy, Prog', and Speed Metal.
Thus, they decided to create their own band.
Orphee, original name of the band, took shape when K-lil, Vocals, joined the duo. They started to compose their first song, Weeping willow, to define their own style. Zuma, Drums and Max, Bass, quickly joined the crew afterwards, consolidating the line-up, feeding their minds with real ambitions.
Still, the band found its style and became fully united when Franck came to finalize the team.
Blindraft was born.
Constantly working out, the essence of Blindraft dwells in the rich eclecticism of everyone in the band, Black Metal, Prog Metal, Hard Rock 80' when just focusing on this genre.
2005
Blindraft met Mr.Xort, Anorexia Nervosa's Keyboard. It is when he saw the 6 guys rocking on stage that he offered them the opportunity to record a 4 title E.P the year after in his personal studio, the prestigious Drudenhaus studio.
2006
During the recording process, Blindraft worked very hard and learned so many crucial things. And the result was the release of Doomsday, 4 songs of what they called Modern Heavy Metal, mixing heavy riffs and Melody.
2007
Blindraft started being renowned throughout France, even abroad, thanks to Doomsday. They kept performing gigs, picking up positive feedback from numerous fanzines and webzines of their first E.P.
Blindraft has constantly kept on enlarging its set-list and is now looking for a label which will offer the band the opportunity to produce their first long last running album.
