In the Begining Blinks was a duet created by Gilles Vrilliaux aka Lakaskad (composition, guitar, Laptop & mix things ) and Joris Garnier (arrangements, saxophones, flute, clarinets, midi sax ). They take their first steps in 2003 and produced their 1st E.P. "The Tube Test".
Very quickly the band will evolve on stage with the comming of the hybrid singer Mc Razamik (vocals & sound effects), aka Fred Mentzen. They do not miss an opportunity to defy the dangers of improvisation on trip hop or nu break live set, mixing acoustic and electronic instruments, Blinks develops a very special universe colored by subtils touches of blues, trip hop, jazz, jungle, classical, nuBreak in their own original compositions...
The public as well as the musicians will retain their sensitive way of adaptation which pushes them to performe on any stage… let the music play !! During 2006, the team extented with the arrival of the video producer Fabien Didelot (Artstep) which carries out the video of the show and the video clips of their new E.p. "Secret Frequencies".///
In 2007 Joris Garnier & the band will arrange Blinks music for symphonic and harmony orchester and blinks will give his fisrt symphonic & trip hop marvelous concert in november 2007...This project called the B.O.P. ( Blinks orchestra project ) may be editing with score and symphonic playback by a great publisher in 2009... work in progres ! Peace.
