Blip started in Tuscaloosa Alabama with 6 college students interested in making music together. The 6 bring an interesting mix of influences to the table including: one indie rock/college radio snob, one vocal performance major and musical theatre buff, one drum and bass DJ/producer (Evol Intent) , one surprisingly well adjusted hair metal lead guitarist (Scream Queen)
, a well travelled (and again- surprisingly well adjusted) black metal loving drummer (SutterKane) and a pretty lady who can claim the title of singer/songwriter- front woman of her own band(s), and a hell of a pianist (Soul Orbit).
The groups DIY debut album "Everything is Fine" featured artwork from the visionary Bill Sienkiewicz.
Together they weave a complex tapestry of sound that delivers content with purpose and a richness of sound that you can only get from a six piece. Currently on the back burner while other projects cook, Blip continues to develop new music behind the driving force of song writer Geoff Calhoun.
Flipside fucken rules. Was just about to ask how a band collaborated with a producer to make it when Clean Sheet came on. Still have to ask how you reworked the vocals though? Gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it. My compliments to you.
