Two lads from Dublin named SpeakerTreatz and Detboyear.
In the studio we're a remix and production team - in the venue we're triple threat DJ rockers. Currently the only 3-J's – 3 x CDJ decks/2 x mixers – on the live circuit, we aim to join the dots between the classic smileyface euphoria of a club-night with the coiled sex and sinful glamour of a rock n roll concert. We sold our guitars to buy turntables, sold our turntables to buy back the guitars and now we've fucked both out the window for CD decks, a brain-splitting echo FX unit and some nice vintage suits off Ebay.
Ex-punks, ex-goths, ex-ravers, we signed up when the shiny new stomp of electropunk/discorock marched into Dublin and Galway (brought to Ireland by 110th St) four years ago.
Our years as x*rox brought us fame on MTV, Bud Rising 1 and many support slots, including our older brothers, 2ManyDJs. The highlights of which can be viewed at http://xerox003.valuehost.co.uk/
The D.I.Y. punk sensibility we brought to our bootlegs and three deck live sets as x*rox has been mainlined into blisscotheque to provide a much dirter, bass-heavier, groove-locked pleasure shock, knowing as we do that you like to get dressed up, fucked up then tranced out on the floor to a rebel electro-throb with guitars, FX and filthy samples stamped all over it.
Also, check Neon Love in our Top 8 for details of SpeakerTreatz' Neon Love Thursday nite parties in the Bernard Shaw, Dublin (NOW SADLY COME TO AN END 07)
A Quick Guide To The Blissco-Music Player back in 2007
Tracks 4 and 5 - Production
We hope these two super-edits/bootlegs deluxe show you where we're at production wise. We luv rave. We luv rock.
Tracks 1 and 2 - Club
Our live 3 CD deck DJ show accelerates the pace of your pleasure by cherry-picking the bits we really love from the tunes we really love, current and classic. This is what you'd get if you saw us in the main room of a club, pure peak-time overdrive. Track 1 leans towards the vibe at the start of a set, track 2 towards the end
Track 3 - Bar
This track is a random snippet from a typical blissco-bar set - easy access tunage, put together for maximum enjoyment as you pelt the pints down ya in the boozer or the Room Two of a club.
