With its members originating from different areas of Dade County (Westchester, Hialeah, Kendall, Little Havana, Downtown) GATOE XANGO is the quintessential MIAMI hard R&B stoner street rock band! Brutally honest lyrics and a back to basics live formula makes this melodious combo one of those rare anomalies were a throwback is actually a revolution in the shadows waiting to pave the way for artists with the integrity to represent our times... Rabbit IN A Hat
Rabbit in a Hat was started as a music project between Juan "Nacho" Londono and Johann Murillo after a late night open mic ran into the early morning hours. After 3 days of jamming and chilling, the first set of songs was composed almost by itself with little to no effort. Both musicians approach music composition the same way they approach life: keep it simple and fun. Their influences include Pink Floyd, The Flaming Lips, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Delfonics and The Beatles. They have played numerous venues such as Churchill’s Pub, Cornerstone, PS 14, Studio A, Circa 28, Jazid, Felt, Flavour, and The Wallflower Gallery to name a few. manana me levanto
ALUCARD
EST. 1998
Over the last decade, the music scene in Miami has evolved with the ever changing face of rock music. During this time, many local bands have struggled to survive with most meeting a sad and unfortunate demise. Yet one musical group has managed not only to endure, but it has flourished unto the local music scene as a noteworthy representative of the contemporary sound of Miami. AlucarD was founded in 1998 (yes 1998) on the premises that a genuine, fresh and unique sound portraying the everyday struggle of youth in Miami was not only necessary, but long overdue. Notwithstanding, the original members of AlucarD came together 8 years ago, fusing rock and hip- hop (to this point unheard of) within a Latin Community whose music was based on salsa, merengue and traditional Gangster Rap. But many struggling years would pass before the core members of AlucarD were to fine-tune and polish this fresh style and evolve into the present day band which you now hear and enjoy.
Nacho
Nacho is one of the Blissful Frequencies performers. He’s an accomplished guitar player/singer/harmonica player. If you haven’t done so already, you definately need to catch him at one of his performances.
Rafa & Rainer
we wear our rainbow sparkles on the inside... though i think rainer is a little embarassed to admit any affiliation with rainbows or sparkles. its okay rainer... you’re a rock star.
DeafCayxx
miami’s best punk band breaking every noise and decency ordninance in a 20 mile radius... Also: King Lando copying his emo idol Tikku while Hoese breaks more strings than he has girlfriends. Ponty ponders growing another inch or two as Potato longs for his Mama...Mama Nips that is. Queen practices her Japanese walk while pretending that she doesn’t like the camera...her middle finger probably has more screen time than Nando. Brux claims that things are too hardcore as if anyone would ever believe that. Ganja is...another name for wacky tobacky. Also starring: Ruben as Dancing Jesus. Vomitboy is all tomato paste and even though we can’t see Josh’s face, we know it’s totally poker. This description is much longer than it needs to be. Enjoy the cacophony.
